Who Are We?
Charlotte H was founded in March 2005 as a Yahoo Group whose mission was to provide social and support activities for individuals with HSV1, HSV2, and HPV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Four years later, we have over 1000 members (Click here to see some statistics and a snapshot of how Charlotte H has grown) many of whom actively attend events while others choose to lurk in the virtual world to gain the support they need. Either way, members are welcomed to participate in whatever capacity suits them best. As a real Charlotte community and recently as a registered non-profit organization, Charlotte H has made an impact locally to dispel the social stigma attached to these viruses. Charlotte H members from all over the United States come here to find support, anonymity, fun, and friendship.

Mission Statement
Charlotte H is a member-run community which provides support and fellowship to adults who have been diagnosed with Herpes Simplex Virus Types 1 & 2 (HSV1 & HSV2) and/or Human papillomavirus (HPV). The organization's goal is to create a safe and fun environment for individuals to heal and grow after their diagnoses. In addition, we actively support HSV/HPV awareness, resources, and education to our local community.

How to Help
Be an Active Member
The best possible way you could support the mission of Charlotte H is to participate as an active member. Being active means posting on the message board, attending events, or even hosting events. A lot of members come and go from the group, and they are always welcomed back. However, we do need people who are looking to keep giving back to our community to make sure Charlotte H stays one of the most active H groups in the US and is always here for members when they need us. Positive Singles
Positive Singles is a great dating site for people with various types of STD's. If you joins through our site, we will get a small commission from your paid membership. This commission goes toward website hosting fees, dinner social appetizers, and other expenses required to keep Charlotte H up and running. None of the proceeds are used for profit. Charlotte H is a non-profit organization.
